Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is a four-seater coupe built on a short-base platform (2,945 mm) of a sedan S class. The length of the two-door was 5,027 mm, the width was 1,899 mm, and the height was 1,411 mm.

It is noteworthy that even compared to the S-class coupe sedan, there is something to surprise. It's not just about the looks, it's also about the hardware. So, unlike the four-door, the motors of which are aggregated by seven-speed automatics, the coupe engines will work in tandem with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is this transmission that is prepared for versions with V8 biturbo engines (455 hp and 700 Nm).

In addition, for the first time on a production car, Mercedes-Benz decided to use a special active hydraulic spring suspension (Active Body Control), which not only knows how to maintain a horizontal position of the body on straight lines, but also in active bends (on the contrary!) Tilt the coupe in the direction of rotation.

The company admits that this effect does not affect the speed of cornering, but it may well add sensations to the driver and passengers, because such a function will imitate the motorcycle cornering. The maximum tilt angle of the body is two and a half degrees, and the speed of the system is from 30 to 180 km/h.

The “motorcycle” suspension will only be offered in tandem with the optional Magic Body Control chassis, which, with the help of front cameras, can also adjust in advance to the bumps seen on the road (pits, speed bumps).

Among the many options for the coupe is the Swarovski crystal inlay of the front optics, which can be built into the low / high beam spotlights, as well as the LED daytime running lights section.
