Mercedes-Benz G-Class (W463)- a five-seater frame SUV, equipped with a permanent all-wheel drive system. Thanks to its design, 21 cm ground clearance and short overhangs, the car is perfectly prepared for driving on rough terrain. At the same time, the level of equipment of the model, as well as the quality of the interior, fully meet the premium segment cars.
In the lineup of the brand G-Class, aka Gelendewagen, appeared in 1979. A significant modernization of the model took place in 1990 - the car received a new chassis, auxiliary systems, interior design. After that, the car was updated several times. The latest restyling was the 2012 facelift, the distinguishing features of which are LED elements under the headlights, as well as modified side mirrors with turn signals and the style of a false radiator grille. Since the autumn of 2012, an updated version of the model has become available in Ukraine.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is supplied to our market with V8 and V12 petrol engines, as well as a six-cylinder diesel engine. As a transmission for all engines, only a seven-speed automatic is offered.
The least powerful, but at the same time the most economical version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is just a diesel modification, which is equipped with a three-liter V6 engine. The maximum power of the unit is 211 hp, and the peak torque is 540 Nm. According to passport data, in mixed mode, the consumption of an SUV per hundred kilometers is 11.2 liters.
The range of gasoline engines available on the Ukrainian market is opened by a 388-horsepower eight-cylinder engine with a volume of 5.5 liters. This modification, which bears the designation G500, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds.
The most powerful versions of the model are the G 63 AMG and G 65 AMG modifications. In the first case, the SUV is equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo, issuing 544 hp. and 760 Nm of torque. In the second case, a 6-liter V12 Biturbo is installed under the hood of the car, the return of which is 612 hp. and 1,000 Nm of torque. With the latest power plant, a 2.5-ton SUV can accelerate to “hundreds” in just 5.3 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is produced at the company's plant in the Austrian city of Graz.
