Mercedes-Benz C-class Sedan (W205) - rear-wheel drive sedan. If you do not take into account the model of the 1980s Mercedes-Benz 190 E, then the car with the index W205 represents the fourth generation of the C-class.
Thanks to the use of the modular MRA platform, the wheelbase of the C-Class has increased by 8 centimeters and now reaches 2.84 meters. For comparison, the restyling E class this figure is 2.87 meters, while the short-base S class - a little more than three meters. The increase in the length of the wheelbase allowed to increase the supply of free space in the cabin and trunk. The volume of the latter has grown to 480 liters. In general, the C-class has become almost 10 centimeters longer predecessor and now reaches 4.68 meters. The width of the sedan is 1.81 m.
At first, the car was offered with a 170-horsepower diesel engine and two petrol engines for 156 and 184 forces, paired with a seven-speed automatic. In the summer of 2014, Mercedes-Benz began producing versions with other engines, the power of which varies from 115 to 333 hp.
In addition to motors, buyers can choose the chassis to their liking: regular, sports (lowered by 1.5 cm) and with pneumatic elements. In the latter case, the driver can adjust not only the degree of damping, but also the ground clearance.
The “base” of the Mercedes-Benz C-class is based on halogen headlights with LED elements, LED lights, all-round video review, advanced climate control, which is able to take into account not only the temperature outside, but even navigation system data. Options include a premium audio system from Burmester and a variety of upholstery and interior trim materials.
Serial production of the model is established in Germany.
